The Emotion and Self Lab in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia in beautiful Vancouver, B.C., Canada is seeking applicants for a Postdoctoral Fellow. Research in the lab focuses broadly on functionalist approaches to emotions, the self, and links between specific emotions and social behaviors. The successful candidate will work primarily with the lab director, Jessica Tracy, to design, analyze, and write-up projects that focus on current research directions in the lab. The position is expected to commence in July 2017, but may start earlier if preferred. Review of applications will start April 1st, 2017 and continue until the position is filled. The post is a full-time position for a minimum of one year, with the possibility for renewal contingent upon grant funding and exemplary progress. Applicants may be Canadian citizens or non-citizens.
